Join Us for the Annual Alumnae Day of Service

Alumnae across the country spend time serving their local communities, and this year, those in the Philadelphia area and their children are invited to gather at Gwynedd to participate in activities to support the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund and Caring for Friends.

Celebrating a Big Win
On Saturday, January 6th, the Gwynedd community gathered to celebrate Coach Tom Lonergan's 200th win as the Varsity basketball head coach. With 11 years at the helm of our program and an illustrious 40-year coaching career, Coach Lonergan's legacy extends far beyond the basketball court.
His coaching journey, marked by a philosophy of dedication and excellence, has culminated in numerous successes. Notably, under his tutelage, the GMAHS basketball program earned its first and second Academies League (AACA) Championships in 2016 and 2022, reached five AACA finals in ten years, earned seven PIAA District 1 Championships, reached the PIAA State Playoffs in nine out of ten seasons, and a Final Four appearance in 2017.
Coach Lonergan has become Gwynedd's all-time winningest coach for basketball. His influence reaches beyond the realm of sports, as demonstrated by the countless lives he has touched throughout his coaching tenure. During Saturday's celebration, a commemorative basketball was presented by President Denise Marbach '72, who was joined by alumnae players, Bianca Coleman '22 and Alyssa Martin '20, and current team captains Dylan Burke '24 and Lauren Drakeley '24. Congratulations, Coach Lonergan!
